# Publish websites from Claude Desktop and terminal Claude

Use the Revdoku app's copied instructions to connect Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and terminal Claude in a few steps.

## 1. Create a Revdoku account first

Setup starts in the Revdoku app. Go to https://app.revdoku.com, create an account, and sign in before connecting any AI app.

This is the first step for every connection: the AI tool connects to your existing Revdoku account, not an anonymous prompt.

## 2. Copy the current AI connection instructions

After signing in, click **New** in the Revdoku app and choose **Copy Instructions for AI**. This copies the current Revdoku connection message for Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, and similar agents.

Paste the copied message into the Claude you use — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or another terminal Claude — and send it. Claude follows the instructions and connects Revdoku to your account.

## 3. Paste the instructions into Claude

For Claude Desktop or terminal Claude, paste the copied Revdoku instructions into the session. The instructions guide Claude through connecting to Revdoku and picking the right publish path.

If your workflow supports hosted MCP, Claude connects through `https://app.revdoku.com/mcp` with Revdoku OAuth. For Claude Code, the official plugin installs the MCP connection and Revdoku skill:

If Claude needs to publish files from your machine, install the local CLI and skill:

## Test the Claude connection

After the connection is active, ask Claude to create a small static website, save the files in Revdoku, publish `index.html`, and return the live URL.

A good first test prompt:

> Create a one-page project status website, save the files in Revdoku, publish it, and give me the public URL. If I ask for changes later, update the same Revdoku bucket and republish the same URL.

Check that the returned URL opens, then ask for one small revision and confirm the same bucket is updated instead of creating a new disconnected site.

## Inspect the Claude output from ChatGPT

After Claude Desktop or terminal Claude publishes files to Revdoku, ChatGPT can inspect the same bucket if Revdoku is connected there too. Use it to list files and confirm the generated folder structure.
