# Publish ChatGPT files and websites with Revdoku

The fastest path is manual: download the files from ChatGPT, drag them into Revdoku, and publish. A ChatGPT app or MCP connection is optional.

## 1. Create a Revdoku account

[Create an account](https://app.revdoku.com/users/sign_up?utm_source=revdoku.com&utm_medium=connect-guide&utm_campaign=chatgpt) and sign in.

## 2. Download the ChatGPT output

Download the report, presentation, images, website files, or ZIP that ChatGPT created. For a website, make sure the folder contains `index.html`.

Open the output locally first if you want to check it before sharing.

## 3. Drag and drop into Revdoku

Open the Revdoku dashboard and drop the files or folder anywhere on the page. Revdoku creates a bucket and uploads the contents.

To replace files later, open the same bucket and drop the updated versions there.

## 4. Publish and share

Open the bucket and click **Publish**. Choose:

- **Public** for an open link,
- **Password** for a protected link,
- **Require Email** to identify visitors.

Copy the live link and share it. Revdoku keeps the bucket available for updates and shows its viewing activity.

## Optional: connect ChatGPT with MCP

Connect ChatGPT only when you want it to update a bucket, publish, change access, or read analytics for you. ChatGPT uses a remote MCP plugin connection with Revdoku OAuth; it does not need an API key in chat.

1. In ChatGPT, open **Settings → Security and login** and enable **Developer mode**.
2. Open [ChatGPT Plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins), select the plus button, and create a connection named `Revdoku`.
3. Under **Connection**, enter `https://app.revdoku.com/mcp` and use OAuth.
4. Sign in with Revdoku, review the requested access, and approve the connection.
5. Open a new chat and add Revdoku from the tools menu.

Developer mode and custom plugin connections can depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace policy. If that surface is unavailable, use manual drag and drop or the [local CLI and skill](/local-install/) instead.

## What ChatGPT can do after Revdoku is connected

Once Revdoku is connected, ChatGPT can inspect a bucket, summarize the files in a published site, and check viewing activity without switching back to the dashboard.

For a published site, you can also ask ChatGPT for a short analytics summary before you follow up with a client or teammate.

## Manage a published Revdoku site from ChatGPT

With Revdoku connected, ChatGPT can inspect a bucket, update an HTML page, republish the same URL, check analytics, and adjust access settings without moving files between tools.

For routine updates, ask ChatGPT to change the file in the existing bucket instead of creating a new site.

After republishing, ChatGPT can confirm the URL stayed the same and summarize recent viewing activity.
